The Sweep Spot Podcast Has a New Archive Home

We have a new home for our official, free archive

This change was made to help The Sweep Spot podcast reach more people and to cover the expenses of producing and providing our podcast and its archive.

The podcast will continue to be available on your favorite platforms.

At the archive, you can click to stream. To download an episode (you might have to use a laptop or desktop), click on "SHARE" and you'll see a place to click to download.

Bookmark and share this new link!

UPDATE: Please note that I started to regularly post The Sweep Spot episodes to this blog as a work-around when Facebook stopped allowing links to our previous archive. As long as Facebook allows links to our new archive home, I have less reason to post each new episode here.

Use the links above to bookmark, subscribe, etc. so that you don't miss any episodes of The Sweep Spot podcast.

Both Cleaning The Kingdom Books Are Available Now

We witnessed Disneyland history. We were able to explore everywhere in Walt Disney's original park. We had a lot of adventures and hijinks as we strived to keep the park clean. These stories and so much more are in our two highly acclaimed Cleaning The Kingdom books.

Cleaning the Kingdom: Insider Tales of Keeping Walt's Dream Spotless is available in paperback, on Kindle, and on Audible. Signed copies are at our official website when we're not sold out.

Cleaning the Kingdom: Night, Day, Past and Present is available in paperback, on Kindle, and on AudibleSigned copies are at our official website when we're not sold out.

The two books are a series, with different stories and content. Both have stories and information never published before.

About the first book:

What is it like to be the eyes and ears of the institution known as The Happiest Place on Earth? How does it really feel to work day in and day out leading part of the world famous Disneyland Custodial team? Just how do they keep such a busy place so clean? Find the answers to these questions and more as secrets are revealed in this unauthorized, honest, and affectionate memoir from insiders who struggled to keep guests happy, tame wild new cast members, and keep the original Disneyland clean through a time of tremendous change, growth, and controversy for the Resort. You’ll discover that cleaning up is just a part of the job as you experience heartwarming triumphs, heartbreaking tragedies, and hearty laughs along with the people who lived them. (460 pages)

About the second book:

This is a second volume with ALL NEW CONTENT! We recount how Disneyland Custodial was literally built from the ground up, documented encounters with Walt Disney you’ve never read before, explore more moments in Disneyland history with eyewitnesses and participants, take a look at Bussing and Night Custodial, & get the reader updated on what’s changed since we clocked out for the last time.

These books are for anyone who likes nonfiction, clean theme parks, Disneyland past or present, Disney Parks, or has ever worked with a mop or broom.

Your Disneyland book collection isn't complete without both of our books, so buy them now!

In addition to explaining the coordinated work that goes into keeping Disneyland clean, these memoirs share some of the unusual guest encounters and special events we were involved with, co-workers who stood out, some of our biggest challenges, and so much more. (The really disgusting stuff is contained to specific areas in each book.)

Find us on Facebook for updates, including where and when you can meet us and get your copies signed.

We host a weekly unofficial Disneyland podcast called The Sweep Spot. Give us a listen! The podcast and the books go together like pans and brooms!
